Java One Hazelnut Creme pods are disappointing, because they don't seem well designed for the Pod system. The system counts on a pump forcing hot water through the pod. For proper steeping a certain amount of back pressure is required. My premium Senseo system works well with Senseo, Millstone, and Folgers brand pods in a variety of flavors, but produces thin poorly flavored Java One Hazelnut coffee. I suspect the problem is in the grind. The Java One pods certainly have enough coffee in them. The Senseo maker lid is hard to close on the pods ... which could be a good thing with the right texture grind. The coffee seems to be a more course grind that allows water to flow rapidly around the course bits without picking up much flavor. To offset the rapid flow of hot water, I reduce the flow settings on the maker, getting a smaller quantiy of coffee with at least some flavor. I don't know how Java One would work in a conventional system or in an Espresso machine, but I certainly won't buy any more Java One pods.
