This is the best "pod" coffee that my husband has ever had. He fanatically uses his Senseo coffee maker and had previously always purchased either Senseo or Godiva brand pods for it. He had tried everything from Sumatra, Ethiopian, Dark & Medium Roasts, Breakfast Blends, French Caramel, Creme Brulee, Creme Chocolate, ect. You name it, he'd probably tried it.The quality of this Cafe Halo coffee is far better than any other. It's rich with a deep acidic flavor, not sweet, but a very strong bold brew. He won't let me go back to buying him any of the other brands and says it's much better than Dunkin Donuts coffee and at least as tasty as Starbucks brew if not more so.
It's just slightly pricier than the Senseo brands were but the quality is head and shoulders above what you paid them for the money. And Cafe Halo isn't skimping. If he has a criticism it's that you need to be slightly careful with placement of the pod into the machine because it's so full of ground coffee. We also like knowing that our few pennies extra that we would have paid for quality alone are actually going to third world countries to help sustain and prosper the farmer who grew the crop of beans enjoyed in our cups. Usually the grower is lowest man in the food chain and the coffee company makes the greatest profit. It makes your morning sip that much more enjoyable.
